Our Team

  • Isabella I.

I am a classically trained piano instructor with seven years of professional teaching experience. My musical journey began at the age of 3, with formal lessons starting at 4. Over the years, I have successfully completed various exams, continually expanding my musical knowledge. I am dedicated to ongoing learning, consistently working to enhance my skills.

Passionate about music, especially the piano, I derive immense satisfaction from sharing my love for the art with my students. My teaching portfolio covers a broad spectrum, including popular music and RCM exam preparation. I have found that integrating both genres offers a well-rounded and enjoyable learning experience for my students.

In my teaching approach, I prioritize kindness, support, and structure. My goal is to instill not only musical proficiency but also a lasting love for music in my students. I firmly believe in the universal language of music and aspire to pass on this enriching gift to everyone I teach.

I have been studying the piano for 18 years, playing music written across the past four centuries. In 2019, I received my certification from the Royal Conservatory for Elementary Pedagogy, and I have been teaching since 2021. I enjoy watching students discover their abilities and enjoy playing music. In addition to music, I also enjoy gardening, watching birds, reading, and history.

Beginning my musical journey at the ripe age of 12 on the trumpet, I quickly developed a love for the craft. I began exploring the piano and writing my own music a few years later, finding inspiration through the pianist/composer Kyle Landry, which directly influenced my playing/writing style for many years to come. Following this path earned me a Bachelor’s of Music Theory and Composition from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

I then travelled across the country to pursue a career in the post production audio world of film via Vancouver Film School. I have since been working as a freelance film composer/sound designer, while still choosing to inspire students as I teach in my free time.

My teaching philosophy is simple, ensuring the students thrive in their studies whilst having a grand ol' time, but also creating a strong sense of security and friendliness with students and parents alike. I like to think of myself as approachable, patient, empathetic, and being flexible enough to adapt to any student’s needs during a lesson.

Fun facts: I have an ongoing hyper fixation of board games, I am learning Italian on Duolingo, and an unmatched skill set when it comes to Guitar Hero!
