An annual registration fee of $35 for each student will be added to the first month’s invoice.
In-home lessons are subject to a minimum $7 travel fee per lesson. Locations more than 10 km from our designated studio may be subject to an additional travel charge, depending on distance.
For households with multiple students, the travel fee is charged once per visit, rather than per student.
Payment is required via e-transfer by the first of each month. Late payments will be assessed a $35 fee on the following month’s invoice.
Any materials purchased by the teacher for the student will be added to the monthly invoice. This may consist of books, flash cards, or anything else that may aid the students learning.
Absences and everything else
Illness Policy and Absences
If a student is unwell, please do not attend in-person lessons. Students are eligible for up to three makeup lessons per academic year, subject to availability. These may be used for absences due to illness or emergencies, and one makeup lesson per academic year may be used for a planned absence, such as a vacation. Please notify us of any absences as soon as possible.
Any additional absences beyond the three eligible makeup lessons, or absences for other reasons, will result in the lesson being forfeited, with no additional makeup lesson or credit provided.
If a lesson is cancelled by the teacher, it will be rescheduled online or in person at a mutually agreed-upon time, or the lesson fee will be credited toward the following month's tuition.
Late Policy
Students with reserved weekly lesson times are expected to arrive promptly. Lessons will end at their scheduled time, and additional time will not be provided to make up for late arrivals.
If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late without prior communication, the lesson will be considered forfeited.
Drop Off/Pick Up (if applicable)
Parents and guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up their children promptly at their scheduled lesson times.
Termination of Lessons
Students are expected to remain enrolled for the duration of the academic year, from September through June, excluding winter break, spring break, and statutory holidays.
If a student wishes to discontinue lessons, one month's written notice is required. Tuition remains payable during the notice period, regardless of attendance. Tuition paid for forfeited lessons is non-refundable.
